Board Meeting Agendas Are Changing!

Every week, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors makes decisions that affect housing, health care, parks, and public safety across the county. The meeting agenda is how the public finds out what the Board is about to decide, but today's agendas can be long, technical, and posted just days before a meeting.

Measure G, approved by voters in 2024, requires agendas to be posted at least five days before regular Board meetings and written so they are easier to understand. The Governance Reform Task Force is now deciding how to make that happen, and it wants to hear from you before it finalizes its recommendations to the Board this August.

Take the five-minute survey. Tell us whether the proposed changes would make it easier to follow the Board's work, whether they go far enough, and what else would help. Every question is optional, and there are no wrong answers. The survey is open through Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Share Your Voice on the Design of L.A. County’s Ethics Commission

The Governance Reform Task Force (GRTF) Ad Hoc Subcommittee on the Establishment of an Independent Ethics Commission invites community members, advocates, and organizations to participate in an upcoming listening session focused on the design of the new Los Angeles County Ethics Commission.

As approved by voters through Measure G, the County must establish an independent Ethics Commission and Office of Ethics Compliance by 2026 The GRTF is now approaching a critical milestone: preparing draft recommendations for how this Ethics Commission should be structured and implemented.

Before those recommendations are submitted to the Board of Supervisors, the GRTF wants to hear directly from the public.
