Raymond Meza is Deputy Chief of Staff at SEIU Local 721, a union representing public-service workers across Southern California, and served as Chair of the Los Angeles City Charter Reform Commission until June 2026.

Raymond joined SEIU Local 721 in 2008 and has held progressively senior organizing and leadership positions there. He now serves on the union's leadership team and helps oversee its daily operations. His work has covered budgets, labor relations, contracting, staffing, service delivery, and legislation involving both the City and County of Los Angeles.

His advocacy began in college, where he organized students to secure federal funding for higher education, oppose tuition increases, and expand access for undocumented students. After the passage of Proposition 209, he pushed for expanded academic outreach to underrepresented communities. Born and raised in Montecito Heights, Raymond is a third-generation resident of the neighborhood.
